The Environmental Mapping Initiative
''a global knowledge exchange promoting public involvement in conservation efforts''
WHAT IS TEMI?
The Environmental Mapping Initiative (TEMI) harnesses open mapping tools to monitor and study the health of coastal ecosystems. TEMI presents an exciting and innovative way for students, environmentalists, scientists - anyone - to engage with data collection, coastal restoration and knowledge-sharing.
Based on our tried and true Mapping the Mangroves project, TEMI is expanding. We are now seeking sponsors and partners to deepen TEMI’s impact, increase public engagement and widen the scope of our work to include other coastal ecosystems, such as coral reefs, seagrass and salt marshes. Contact us to see how your organization can get involved.
